  • "How will Launderettes come out in the wash" is a look by the BBC at our industry during the lockdown - you can read the article here: www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-52823196

Would you, or your staff, like to be part of a project celebrating laundry workers and launderettes at this time? A community organisation in Brighton is launching a project to collect stories from Launderette staff working throughout lock down and social restrictions. They would like to record your experiences on the front line and celebrate the amazing work being done by laundry workers across the UK. The conversations will be inspiration for 6 creative art projects which will happen online over the next 6 months. If you'd like to share what you enjoy, love, and feel most proud of in your launderette, how you feel about working and providing a vital service while so many have been in lockdown, and how your job has changed, then contact emily@quietdownthere.co.uk. Conversations will take place over the phone or via Skype/Zoom and each participant will receive a small reward for their time.
